These terms govern sample kit purchases and wholesale orders placed through nagamine-seicha.co.jp. They also satisfy the disclosure requirements of Japan’s Specified Commercial Transactions Act (特定商取引法).

2. Products and prices

We sell three sample kits and a wholesale catalogue of Japanese tea and craft sparkling tea. All prices on the sample request page (/sample.html) are in US dollars (USD) and are inclusive of shipping to North America (United States and Canada).

• Tier 1 — Matcha 2026 Tasting Flight: USD 130
• Tier 2 — Complete House Discovery Set: USD 180
• Tier 3 — Sparkling Tea Tasting Set: USD 150

Wholesale prices are quoted individually after sample evaluation. All wholesale pricing is FOB Yaizu unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Additional charges

For sample kits shipped to North America, prices are all-inclusive — no additional shipping fees, no surcharges. For shipments to regions outside North America, shipping is quoted separately and confirmed before payment.

Customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees in the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility. We declare actual sample value on customs documentation; we do not under-declare.

4. Payment

Payment is processed securely by Stripe, Inc. We accept all major international credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB) and Apple Pay. After we confirm your sample request, we send a secure Stripe payment link by email.

For wholesale orders, we accept bank wire transfer in USD or JPY. Bank details are provided with the wholesale invoice.

5. Order process and timing

• Day 0: You submit a sample request through our website.
• Day 1: We confirm your request by email and send the Stripe payment link.
• Day 2–3: After payment confirms, your kit is dispatched from Yaizu via Pegasus Global Express (PEN-DHL).
• Day 5–10: Delivery to your business address. Tracking is provided.

For wholesale orders, lead time is typically 14–28 business days from order confirmation, depending on quantity, current production schedule, and seasonal harvest timing.

6. Geographic availability

Sample kits with shipping included are currently available for delivery to the United States and Canada. Buyers in Europe, the United Kingdom, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East are welcome to inquire — we provide individualized shipping quotes within one business day.

Tier 3 (Sparkling Tea Tasting Set) is currently available for delivery to North America only, due to the logistics of glass bottle international transport.

7. Acceptance of order

A submitted sample request is an inquiry, not a binding order. The contract is formed only when we send you the Stripe payment link and you complete payment. We reserve the right to decline any inquiry, in our sole discretion, before payment is requested.

8. Sample fee credit

Sample fees are fully credited toward your first wholesale order when:

• The wholesale order is placed within 90 days of receiving the sample kit, and
• The order meets minimum quantities: 50 kg for tea wholesale, 1 case (24 bottles) for sparkling tea.

Credits are applied as a discount on the wholesale invoice. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash, are non-transferable, and expire after 90 days.

9. Returns and refunds

Detailed return and refund terms are provided on our Refund Policy page. In short: sample kits are non-returnable as a perishable food product, but we replace or refund any kit damaged in transit or with verified product defects.

10. Quality guarantee

All teas in our sample kits and wholesale catalogue:

• Are sourced directly from named producers we work with personally
• Meet Japanese food safety standards (Food Sanitation Act)
• Meet US FDA Food Facility Registration requirements (UFI 693359960)
• Are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis on request

Our Okabe Yabukita matcha additionally meets European Union pesticide residue standards.

11. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, images, logos, the “Nagamine Seicha” name, the upper-mark crest, and the “bodhi” name and bottle design — is the property of Nagamine Seicha Co., Ltd. or its licensors. Wholesale buyers may use our product names and verified product information in their own retail materials with our consent.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of a sample purchase is limited to the price you paid for the sample kit. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from a sample purchase or wholesale order shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Shizuoka District Court, Japan, as the court of first instance.

Nothing in this clause limits any consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the bottom of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
